Don't seem to have missed much being away this weekend....

Then back to Paris

London marathon on today so I got the train back from Benfleet. Customs at Waterloo were easy-going enough as regards my lack of passport, but I didn't count on losing my ticket aswell...it turned up in a waste paper basket behind the security officials desk. My ears are so blocked (since going swimming with Stanley in the afternoon) that I hadn't heard the announcement - anyway, I didn't miss the train.

Went down to Peter and Hélène's for the weekend to help on the house. Picnic in the sun etc. but quite a dose of the old hayfever with all that pollen about - quite got up my nose it did...

Séjour en Picardy

At the Abbaye de Valloires just inland from the Baie de la Somme for a study we're doing at work. Great to get out of Paris for a bit and into the rolling Picardy countryside. Stayed overnight in Abbeville.
